Can we choose a song for our Wedding First Dance that is not on your
Song List?

Yes, of course. We want to make your day as special as possible so we will learn 1 new song for you, but we require a minimum of at least 3 weeks notice so we can rehearse your song and get it to performance standard. This is included in your quotation. Extra songs can be learned but will incur an additional charge. If you find yourself looking at our song list and you dislike the majority of our repertoire we may not be the band for you!

How do we choose what songs from your list you should play?

We are always happy to put together the selection for you if you are unsure. If there are any songs in our repertoire that you particularly want (or particularly dislike) let us know. If you do want to choose all the songs we play from our list please note we require your final choices at least three weeks before the gig.

What time will the band arrive?

We will usually arrive and set-up from 6pm onwards. For Weddings, this means we're ready to set up as soon as the wedding breakfast and speeches are finished. With corporate and charity events, we will always set up and sound check before guests arrive. If you require the band to set up earlier in the day, there is an additional fee of £50 for every hour before 6pm. Some venues have specific times when they permit load-in, please check in case they insist on an early morning load-in as this will affect your final quotation.

How long does it take the band to set up?

We take 2 hours to set up and sound check. Lifts or stairs may increase load in time. Where possible we like to visit a venue in advance of a function to determine logistical requirements.

How long will the band play for?

Our standard set times are 2 x 60 minutes or 3 x 40 minutes which we find is the perfect amount of time to have a band playing. If you need longer or extra sets, we can build this into your quote.

How long are the intervals?

We request intervals of at least 15 minutes but this can be longer to suit your requirements on the day.

What time should the band start playing?

This is completely up to you and your schedule on the day. We find it's often best to start the band at around 8pm but this is purely a guide. We also find it's best to serve the buffet during the band breaks or before the band start.

Does the band provide music between and before sets?

Yes, we're happy to provide music via an iPod between sets. We have a fixed playlist on our ipod but If you have particular songs in mind, you're also welcome to create your own iPod playlists which can be played through the PA system. If you want our PA and an operator to remain after the band have finished this is possible but will incur an additional charge.

Will the band require refreshments?

We request that the band is provided with soft drinks throughout our stay at the venue. We also request food for 6 members of the band. This doesn't have to be to the same standard as your guest’s meal, just something before we play to keep energy levels up. We often leave for the gig mid-afternoon and won't arrive home until the early hours so some hot food is always highly appreciated.

Can I come and watch the band play live before I book?

We do understand that it's nice to watch the band live before you book and can give you details of any public performances we may be playing but as we mainly play at private weddings and functions this may not always be possible. Hopefully the video, songs, reviews and testimonials on our website will give you peace of mind that we are completely professional, experienced in every type of event and very accommodating.

Does the band provide their own PA system / Lighting equipment?

Yes, we are completely self-contained so you don't need to worry about a thing. We use a top class PA system suitable for most venues with access to larger systems for events in large venues (an extra charge will apply). Our lighting rig is state of the art and is ideal for most venues.

No, a stage is always a great addition to a performance but is not a requirement.

How much space do you require?

We are very accommodating when it comes to space and can fit into just about any large room or marquee. As a rule of thumb we require an area 5 meters in width and 3 meters in depth.

We require at least 2 independent 13 amp sockets. If your marquee company has requested details, please advise that our PA system and lighting use approximately 5kw and a single 13amp power supply is not sufficient.

A deposit of approximately 20% will also be required, this is payable by BACS or Cheque. An invoice with payment details will be included with the contract. The balance will be required with cleared funds at least 48 hours prior to the function. Payment can be made using BACS, Cash or Cheque. Please note if paying by cheque that we require it at least 7 working days prior to the function in order for funds to clear.
